Waterproof, but not very comfortable or sexy.

This back pack is most definitely waterproof, but it is rather large and the straps are not very comfortable. We used this on our Caribbean cruise and my husband actually swam with it in the water. It kept him afloat and it can be used as a pillow.Don't put wet items in the backpack as they will stay wet!

Every surfer should have one.

Personally, I think dry bags are the best surf accessory out there. I am sure there are a thousand other applications of these out there, but for me... surfing is it. After years of wrapping wetsuits in towels and leaving them in the car and having everything still get wet (and mildly smelly). More years of walking back from a surf up a long trail with a soaking wet suit hanging over my board or dripping down my back from a backpack... FINALLY, a solution. These dry bags are durable and keep the water in. I wish I had started using one years ago

Huge and great color!

Comfortable, adjustable straps! I filled it up with my stuff to see how the weight distributed and I liked it. Like another user commented, the fold in the bag is a little concerning because mine has been folded to a point where a little hold has formed. Maybe a new folding method for shipment could solve this. I just don't want to find out the hard way while on vacation. I will return it due to this but will reorder. Love the side handle and straps. The bag is HUGE. 30L in this form is very spacious. I travel backpack only and use a dry bag as my day pack and love that it protects my belongings and is lightweight.

Holding up

After two full field seasons of use, this bag is doing pretty well. Not long after getting it, I noticed a small tear in the strap where it meets the bag. While this is a pain, and I'm constantly worried about it ripping through, it's also not really a problem and does not compromise the water-resistance of the bag. Love having a drybag with backpack straps - it's totally functional and convenient.

Day hike-size dry bag with comfortable shoulder straps

I own a dry bag, but I don't like the thin plastic strap - it digs into my shoulder. So when I saw this one, I have to buy it because I like the size and I the shoulder straps look comfortable. When I received it, the bag was folded into 1/4th it's size and packed inside a tight plastic bag. Nothing wrong with it, except that when I unfold it, there's a deep fold mark and slight discolouration. I kind of wish they pack it differently so that I could be the one making the dent in my bag, instead of receiving it dented already. I've used it for hiking in the rain. Definitely waterproof. Shoulder straps are very comfortable. It is slightly thinner than my previous dry bag. The pros: it is lighter and it shapes better to whatever I put inside. The cons: it won't stand up on its own when I pack really light. The size is perfect for a day hike or visit to the beach.
