Fits small! Really and truly buy a size bigger than you think you need.

Very light weight. Fits VERY small. I had read that and thought the 20-40 L would be fine for a 25L pack. It just fits but I wish I had bought the next larger so beware. Does not seem particularly sturdy so I do not expect it to hold up under tough use such as setting the backpack down on rough surfaces, so I will be careful. The attached pouch it folds into is a nice touch however. My pack is water resistant so I am just looking for some extra security if it is pouring out while travelling, not hiking.

Good design, features and workmanship

Some notes about this rain cover after deciding on it over the many other, less expensive options available here on Amazon. Size small fits without problem an Osprey Talon 22 and a Tom Bihn Western Flyer. Both are daypacks. The Talon 22, at about 22' long and 11' wide, has a 'proper' hiking suspension design while the Western Flyer, at about 18'x11'x9' and is more of a boxy air-travel carry-on bag/backpack without hip/waist support. It covers both with some inches to spare, so it could still cover somewhat larger bags. On these bags the cinch-able shock cord at its loosest already has great grip around both and the cover fits both well without the look of excess loose material. The Talon has an adjustable suspension system whereby the harness is attached a couple inches lower than the top of the bag. This allows the cover to wrap around the top of the bag for a great grip. The slik clips are perfectly positioned to clip to the bottom of the shoulder straps where they meet the hipbelt. The minimal instructions with the cover imply the slik clips attach at the top, which is kind of possible to the load lifters, but not ideal. This also positions the cord's cinch at center bottom where it could potentially dig into your back. Due to the good grip of the shock cord and overall streamlined fit, I'll use it with the clips attached at the bottom of the shoulder straps. While I have yet to use the cover in extreme conditions, it would have to be super windy to blow it off the Talon.

Excellent

It does exactly what it should. Son loves it as he takes the train to school everyday then walks. It keeps his bag and books dry. Easy to store in bag, thin and strong at the same time.

Another good quality Aqua Quest product

Another good quality Aqua Quest product. The medium size fits great on one of my 55l packs and is excellent for my army duffel/back pack, which was a nice surprise.

Leaches green dye

It got dirty so I soaked it in a tub of water. After draining the water, there was green dye all over the tub. The dye did not permanently stain anything, so I'm still using the cover. It seems to work well at keeping my pack dry.
